Below, we've laid out a guide to all of the available marketing dashboard widgets, including notes on available customizations, interactivity, and recommendations for using each.

Email Click Comparison

The Email Click Comparison widget compares total email clicks over a recent time period with the equivalent time period immediately preceding it. Put another way, it helps track recent trends to see whether overall click activity is increasing or decreasing.

Customizable? Yes! Users can select a specific time frame for the widget, including: Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.

Interactive? Only for customizing the dataset.

Great for: Marketing teams looking to gauge recipient's overall responses to email CTAs (Calls to Action).

Email Open Comparison

The Email Open Comparison widget compares total email opens over a recent time period with the equivalent time period immediately preceding it. Put another way, it helps track recent trends to see whether overall email open activity is increasing or decreasing.

Customizable? Yes! Users can select a specific time frame for the widget, including: Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.

Interactive? Only for customizing the dataset.

Great for: Marketing teams wanting to measure how recipients are engaging with (or even seeing!) their messaging.

Email Overview

The Email Overview widget displays all email activity over the most recent 7-day period. This makes it easy to see and track how emails are performing and how many users might be flagging your messages as spam.

Customizable? Not really.

Interactive? You betcha. Click on any of the items in the legend to remove it from the graph. Hover over any of the individual data points to see the actual totals. for each.

Great for: Staying up-to date on all email activity and, especially, making sure recipients are not flagging your emails as spam.

Email Send Comparison

The Email Send Comparison widget compares total email sends over a recent time period with the equivalent time period immediately preceding it. Put another way, it helps track recent trends to see whether the volume of email you are sending is increasing or decreasing.

Customizable? Yes! Users can select a specific time frame for the widget, including: Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.

Interactive? Only for customizing the dataset.

Great for: Marketing teams wanting to track the volume of their email communication to avoid over-saturating your supporters.

New Online Recurring Gifts

The New Online Recurring Gifts widget provides a snapshot of recurring gift activity over the last 30 days and compares the total giving amount and number of gifts to the previous 30 days period. Bear in mind that this only tracks new recurring gift commitments, and not payments made toward existing recurring gifts.

Customizable? Not really.

Interactive? Not so much.

Great for: Any organization wanting to track overall trends in acquiring new recurring supporters.

Online Giving by Form

The Online Giving by Form widget displays a visual graph to show the top 5 online giving forms, measured by dollars received, for your organization.

Customizable? Yes! Users can select a specific time frame for the widget, including: Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.

Interactive? You bet. Hover over any of the "wedges" on the graph to see actual totals. Click on any form name in the legend to remove it from the graph entirely.

Great for: Marketing and development users looking to test or measure the performance of multiple giving forms.

Online Giving Comparison

The Online Comparison widget compares total gift amounts received via Virtuous Giving over a recent time period with the equivalent time period immediately preceding it. Put another way, it helps track recent trends to see whether giving is increasing or decreasing.

Recent Online Gifts

The Recent Online Gifts widget provides a running list of all gifts received via Virtuous Giving.

Customizable? Yes! Users can select a specific time frame for the widget, including: Last 30 Days, Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year.

Interactive? You betcha. Click on any Contact name to view the Contact record. Click on the "view form" button to see the actual giving form used to process a particular gift.

Great for: Marketing and development teams who want to view all giving activity at a glance.
